Had my first dinner with my in-laws today, was eating together and suddenly:

Pa (Father-in-law): Isa, you must get Justin to teach you how to climb tree..

Everyone (+ me) turned to look at him: "????"

Pa: 嫁鸡随鸡，嫁狗随狗，嫁猴子要学爬树。(Direct Translation- Marry chicken must follow chicken, Marry dog must follow dog, Marry Monkey must follow monkeys to climb trees..)

Everyone: -_-"""

Pa: 你们以为很容易啊？猴子要背着孩子爬树的。(Translation - you think its so easy? monkeys have to carry their kids while climbing up the tree)
